It is with much sadness this month that I must report that one of our members has passed away. Marc Wolfgram, son of Gordon & Ruth Wolfgram, died on February 15th when his car ran off the freeway and rolled down an embankment near the Madison interchange. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched. Please see the In Memoriam for more information about Marc.

The board is currently lining up events for this year. The Chicago Auto Show trip has been an event on the bubble this last two years, with only 20 to 25 members of our club signing up early for this event. The bus has a capacity of 53 people, and to run this event profitably, we must have a full bus. The 2009 and 2010 bus trips have both required us to solicit members of other car clubs.

At the last board meeting, a suggestion was put forward that we only do this event every other year, or every third year for that matter. Or should we just cancel the event altogether, thinking that it's past it's time, no one's interested, move on to other events...... So, we decided to hand out a quick survey after the show to gauge participant's interest and thoughts about the future. 100% of the participants said we should do this event every year, citing the low cost, and the convenience. Many compliments were noted about the excellent planning and organization of this event which makes it great trip. So, we will run this event again in 2011. Thanks to host Bob Turznik who took care of all the arrangements, snacks, video entertainment, and planning for this event. And thanks to all who attended that made this event a success.

March 6^th – Drive to Dine in Oshkosh with an EAA Museum tour. Nancy reports we met the minimum for the tour and we can still sign up until 3/3/10 if you haven’t already.

April 10^th – Spring Tech Session at Black Forest.
